The second two-days of testing of the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 took place in the Spanish track of Motorland Aragon.
The first day of testing had been a good day for Anthoine Hubert who was on the first positions during the wet track conditions on the morning, and also on afternoon when the Frenchman finished on first place as the fastest of the day. Unluckily Hubert lost his three fastest time because he failed to meet the required weight during the checks.
The French driver due to this penalty went down to 3rd place of the day. “Simon [Gachet] and I were up there all day. I could have done better this morning on new tyres, but this afternoon was more positive. We did a good job and need to continue in this direction. We will see what happens tomorrow with the return of some drivers who were absent today.”
In the second and last day of testing in Aragon, Hubert finished on second place in the morning and afternoon sessions. Good pace by the sophomore driver that coment: “Another good day! This morning, I was quite far behind Matevos [Isaakyan] but the different tyre strategy can explain the difference. Then, we concentrated on the set-ups, which wasn’t ideal for trying to keep up with Delétraz. The team is making good progress. It is positive and we need to continue like this at Jerez in order to be ready for the season.”
The next and last two days of testing of the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 will be next week on 26 and 27 of March, also in Spain, this time in Jerez.
