Keeping the same pace

This week end, the Le Mans track, know as the temple of endurance, hosted the World series by Renault. On this occasion 95 000 spectators made the most of the Indian summer in the french departement of Sarthe, and were able to admire the show that was offered by competitors in search of a reputation.

Friday morning for the practice sessons, the drivers were able to show off their talent on a " greasy, wet, and evolutive" track. Anthoine started off with brio and finished in third position. In the afternoon, the suns rays having dried the track, Anthoine came third in a session disrupted in the last 15 minutes by two red flags.

The qualifying was at 10:05 on Saturday. With ten minutes on the clock, Anthoine was off! After a warm up lap, Anthoine's name was present three times on the top of screens, only to plummet immediatly because he didn't respect the track lines. Without his best times, Anthoine was in the 4th line with the 8th starting position. Anthoine was off to a good start in race 1, any he was rapidly in 7th position in front of SCOTT (GB). Anthoine then had to look for an opening to overtake the experienced OLSEN (Norway), 2014 Vice Champion, which he finally found to finish in 6th place.

On sunday morning in the second Qualifying, just as teammate Simon GACHET made the best time of group B, our driver did likewise in group A with a pole position, and a new record! Despite a satisfactory start in race 2, it's Simon who's in the lead under the Dunlop gateway. Ten minutes and one safety car later, Anthoine was in the lead until the end, with 2 seconds advance between himself and his teammate Simon. The shouts of joy of the Tech 1 team do only justice to Simon and Anthoine's excellent race.

In Anthoine's words : ... "We wanted this victory on sunday, and we had to have it to stay in the race for the title. This victory is celebrated "at home", with the presence of my friends, family, parteners, and supporters and to have my friend Simon on the podium with me makes this moment even more exciting for me and all of the Tech1 team, who have once again done an incredible job. Now the same and only objective : the TITLE at JEREZ, and as we are leaving Bugatti and the excitement of being on the podium has died down, the south of Spain is on everyone's mind."....
