To celebrate its 110th birthday, the "Automobile Club de l’Ouest" or ACO, organised the 31th edition of the go-kart "24h du Mans" this week-end. The novelty this year was the CIK-FIA label (Fédération International Automobile).
Anthoine had participated in the last two editions in the GP2 category, and was offered the replacement of Anthony ABBASSE (vice world champion of KZ125 this year) in the RTKF team. Such an opportunity was not to be refused and Anthoine had to be worthy of the trust that was placed in him.
What to say about the RTKF team led by Claude JAMIN and the BOULINEAU brothers, other than that they are without dout the reference in the discipline, with 7 victories this week end. Every member of the team is devoted and experienced. This 31th edition was special : it would be the last one for the team in this discipline.
The drivers, Gautier BECQ, Charles FIAULT, Kevin PETIT and then Anthoine were decided to offer RTKF a victory as a farewell gift.
To say that victory was a simple formality would be lacking respected for the opponents, but we must say the the experience and professionnalism of the team enabled everything to go smoothly.
RTKF will not leave without a shine, with the two best places on the podium. A big thank you and well done!
In Anthoine's words : … « For my first participation in the queen category, it's a great satisfaction to get this result! The race wasn't easy but the team's experience, Anthony's presence, and the friendship with the teammates enabled us to cross the finish line first! I hope to be able to participate again in this race and also one day in a car » …
